Staff Accountant (Torrance, CA)

Chen and Sun, CPA, A Professional Corporation is a full-service CPA firm serving clients in a variety of industries. Chen and Sun, CPA has been assisting clients in accounting, tax, risk management and the maximization of their net worth since our company’s establishment in 2013. Due to the increasing business, we are in demand of the professional service of an Accountant. This position has no supervisory duties; he/she will perform the following duties:

Prepare financial reports to determine or maintain the record of detailing assets, liabilities, and equity in order to provide accurate information to clients’ management; Prepare profit and loss, cash flow, income statements, and balance sheets. Consolidate Parent company’s financial statements with worldwide subsidiaries;
Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other accounting regulations;
Prepare yearly and quarterly tax returns for individuals, corporations and other entities and accurately calculate sales tax, payroll tax, deductions, credits, allowances, profit and loss, depreciation and other information as necessary;
Prepare, analyze and verify financial documents in order to provide information to clients. Develop, implement and maintain clients’ accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Investment, monthly Account/Bank reconciliation, etc.; Prepare and maintain other financial reports and records as necessary;
Process payroll for U.S. employees and prepare quarterly and annual Federal and State payroll tax report;
Provide tax planning throughout the year by advising clients on the tax advantages and disadvantages of business or individual decisions; perform on-site business consulting services to clients;
Monitor the financial condition of the clients’ U.S. and international operations, compile and analyze financial information pertaining to the business operations of the company, estimate future revenues and expenditures, prepare monthly budgets and forecasts;
Communicate progress to partners and propose solutions on accounting and tax issues

Required Skills and Qualities:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Science or related;
High proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Word;
Advanced knowledge in US GAAP and strong ability in research and resolve accounting application;
Highly detail oriented and organized in work;
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills;
Highly motivated team player with the ability to handle multi-tasks within deadlines.
